Adjustment on the overload setting, and off
delay timer on the Main Control Board.

E20T25
(Obsolete) |

E20T48
(Current) |
Above are the two styles of control modules used in newer
style control panels. These modules replace the various controls, & relays in
older style control panels. These devices incorporate the overload protection,
operating relay,& time delay relay.
The E20T25 is obsolete, the replacement is the E20T48.
These controls are interchangeable, the only difference is the mounting holes
are slightly different, if replacing the E20T25 with the E20T48, you will need
to drill new mounting holes in the control panel back-plate. Operationally they
are identical.
The off delay time delay adjustment should be
adjusted so that the drive motor and water pump continue to run for
approximately 1 minute AFTER the machine stops producing / harvesting ice.
This is to ensure the blade & squeegee does not freeze to the evaporator when it
shuts down.
The overload set point should be adjusted as
follows: While the machine is making ice under NORMAL conditions. (Motor NOT
exceeding full load amps.) Slowly turn the overload set-point
counterclockwise, until the overload trips. Then turn set point clock wise,
approximately 1/8 turn, above cut out point. Reset the overload, (Press overload
reset switch) check to ensure unit does not trip overload during normal
operating conditions. If it trips, ( and motor does not draw excessive current)
then raise the set-point slightly & Try again. Click on above photos to
find adjustment screw location on controls.
