ENERGY STAR Award Partner of the Year and the Benefits of ENERGY STAR

Each year the EPA ENERGY STAR program honors those businesses and organizations who have gone above and beyond to make truly outstanding contributions. These contributions come in the form of protecting our environment through superior achievements in energy conservation.

Businesses that lead the way in energy-efficient strategies for buildings and homes, as well as the sale of energy-efficient products and services, are chosen for the ENERGY STAR Award Partner of the Year. While there are thousands of ENERGY STAR Partners, those chosen have gone above and beyond throughout the year in the quest for a healthy environment.

The highest honor is the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for Sustained Excellence. Businesses that have received the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for two consecutive years and have once more gone above and beyond to qualify for recognition are eligible for the Sustained Excellence award. Howe Corporation was named ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year in 2020 and 2021, therefore, could receive the coveted Sustained Excellence Award in 2022.

The “Partner of the Year Awards” are given in a number of categories, including:

  • Home Energy Rater/Provider

  • Multifamily High-Rise Developer

  • Energy Management

  • Energy Efficiency Program Delivery

  • Retailer

  • New Home Builder

  • Product Brand Owner

  • Service and Product Provider

The ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year awards reach across states, industries, and sectors, and can include home builders and developers, contractors, industrial manufacturers, product manufacturers, and much, much more. Howe Corporation won the coveted ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year as a product brand owner in the product design and manufacturing sector.

At Howe, we are proud to be ENERGY STAR-certified. We believe there is significant value in the ENERGY STAR label. ENERGY STAR-certified buildings have lower utility bills—generally 35 percent lower than similar buildings. Because these buildings use less energy, they also generate 35 percent fewer greenhouse gas emissions, helping to fight climate change. ENERGY STAR-certified buildings are simply worth more—reliable persistent energy savings make it more likely the buildings will receive a higher valuation.

Appliances that carry the ENERGY STAR rating are from 10-20 percent more efficient. An appliance that receives an ENERGY STAR rating meets federally mandated guidelines; it meets the strict guidelines set by ENERGY STAR, which is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency program that helps businesses and individuals save money and protect our climate.

Howe Corporation is proud to receive the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year award two years in a row and to be among the businesses and corporations chosen for their outstanding contributions to protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency achievements. We are committed to delivering real climate solutions that make good business sense while strengthening our economy.

The Howe Corporation began its journey in 1912 with a Midwestern farmer, William Henry Howe, who knew quite a lot about fixing things. By the turn of the century, Howe saw a need for improvements in the refrigeration equipment at the small dairy and ice cream plant where he worked as a mechanic. Soon, Howe and his three sons were producing and servicing refrigeration equipment on their own. The rest, as they say, is history.

At Howe Corporation, we are committed to the environment and to our customers. For all your refrigeration needs, contact Howe Corporation today!
